Story

Marc and Becca's story started like many modern relationships: online. They first met in person in the parking lot of a Publix in Miami where Marc was attending a car meet, and Becca decided to show up with her sister, Kacy, to see what he was really like in person. The attraction was instant and days of flirtation turned into weeks of dating and while that might have turned into the expected relationship, Marc and Becca never do anything expected...

Becca got a job in Tampa and left Miami with her sights set on a career that could take her to NYC. They decided not to pursue a long-distance relationship at first, not wanting to challenge a relationship that was still so new, and they went their separate ways.

It only took a few months before, on October 27, coincidentally the same day of their first date just one year later, Becca got lonely on a work trip in New York and ended up reaching out to Marc again, and he spent the night talking. He later encouraged her to come to Coral Springs to spend the following weekend with him and from then on they were locked in.

Their relationship would start long-distance from Coral Springs to Tampa, then to NYC- alternating who would take the drive or the flight to see the other as often as they possibly could. Despite the odds, their relationship flourished even across 1,250 miles. Time apart led them closer together, allowing them to grow as individuals and as part of a couple.

When Covid hit in 2020, Becca worked remotely from Marc's home for over a month and they realized how much they wanted to make this living situation permanent, so Becca left her job and her beloved apartment in the city and followed her heart back to South Florida, where she has been ever since.

After 7 amazing years together, it is finally time to take our relationship to the next level. We are so honored to have you join us in this next big adventure on the road to "I Do".

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

See Our Story!

Who made the first move? How?

Becca made the first move, both online and in real life- but to those who know Marc, this should be no surprise...

What was your most memorable date?

For Becca: Less of a date, and more of a trip- Marc came to visit me in NYC for the first Christmas I lived there and was unable to travel back home to see my family. He took me and Gatsby to see the Roosevelt Tree and carried Gatsby because the crowd was so thick and intense that we were worried he might get stepped on. Though I am sure Diane, Raymond, and Bastien missed him that year, I think that was the trip I knew he was the one...

For Marc: Key West, where our Airbnb was a boat we had to kayak out to and back from every time we wanted to grab dinner or see the city. We spent a weekend in that little boat getting to know each other better while listening to the rain on the deck above our heads.

What's your favorite activity together?

Anything that has to do with going fast- whether it be at the track over a weekend or at K1 where Becca can watch Marc kart around for hours. She loves watching him do what he loves.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Marc convinced Becca to attend the Formula 1 race in Monza at the start of their honeymoon- though it took very little convincing because she gets to spend the remaining weeks traveling Italy- the country of her great-grandmother!

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

This is impossible to answer after 7 years and so much travel! From the sardines they had in Athens, Greece, to the dumplings they ate in Chinatown, NY, food has been the center of their relationship. When they aren't on a date at the track or K1, Marc is taking Becca out for food.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Marc and Becca have been blessed to travel to Montreal, Mexico, Iceland, Greece, and all over the States. While it is hard to choose just one trip as the most memorable they would both agree that their trip to Greece was the most filled with memories and beautiful sightseeing and the yummiest food!

A life goal of ours

Marc and Becca are very excited to have children, and they hope to raise them in a home that is full of love and joy and lots of project cars.

The most spontaneous thing we’ve done

They adopted a street kitten 4 years ago who has become the smallest and fiercest member of their tiny family, Nova!

The dorkiest thing about us is

They watch Critical Role, a show where nerdy-ass voice actors sit around and play Dungeons and Dragons EVERY Thursday without missing for the past 7 years!

We are regulars at

Burgers n Shakes on the first Sunday of every month after the GP, Pho by Vingh for pho as often as they can treat themselves, Papamigos for birria tacos and carne asada fries, and the Namu for kimchi cheese fries and Korean fried chicken!!

We take pride in

Their home! They have spent the last few years renovating their house and have built the most beautiful space together that they are eager to start a family in!

Accommodations

We reserved some room blocks to help you find a place to stay!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Invitations will follow the save the dates, on the invite we will have a deadline for RSVP.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation indicates you have a +1, yes! If your invitation does not include a +1, no.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception.

What will the weather be like?

The weather here is predictably HOT in August. During the day, Miami's weather should average 80-90 degrees but get more comfortable as the sun sets. Please dress for warm weather during your stay, and plan to hit the beach in your bikinis!

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

We have reserved room blocks at hotels close to the venue with special rates for our guests. After formal invitations are received, you can watch for those updates on this site!

What should I wear?

The theme of the night is Midsummer Night's Dream- so think summery but dressed up. We know that's not so simple so we made a Pinterest board to help you find some inspiration: bit.ly/40DWlOy
Please NO white, cream, ivory, or anything that could be mistaken for white, cream, or ivory ;)
Men should wear suits. While you want to dress for the heat, we still want this to be a fashion-forward event!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is in a chapel indoors, but our reception will be in an open-air courtyard.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking near the entrance of the monastery.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us!
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Whom should I call with questions?

You can contact the Maid of Honor, Kacy or the Best Man, Jean Sebastien, with questions you may have on the day. If you are unable to get in contact with them over the phone you can always text or message on Facebook.
